Privacy Policy

Elitesgen, Inc. (“Elitesgen,” “we,” “us”) is the company that builds and operates the Elitesgen app and the Egen family of products. We are a subsidiary of the Elites Generation Foundation, the nonprofit parent that holds our mission and the commitments below. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Elitesgen app, our websites, and the Egen products that link to it.

Our commitments come first

Two promises shape everything in this policy, and they do not change:

• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• We do not run behavioral advertising and we do not build profiles of you to sell attention. These are commitments held by the Elites Generation Foundation.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways.

Information you give us. When you create an account we collect details such as your name, email address or phone number, and a password. As you use the products you may add profile information, preferences, photos, and the messages and posts you choose to share. If you contact support or take part in research, we keep what you send us.

Information from your use of the products. To make features work we process the communities you join, the connections and conversations you take part in, the people in your circle, and the content you create or interact with. Where a feature uses your approximate location (for example, to suggest nearby groups), we use it only with your permission and only for that purpose.

Technical information. Like most online services, we receive device and connection data such as device type, operating system, app version, general (city-level) location inferred from your IP address, and diagnostic logs. We use this to keep the products secure, reliable, and free of abuse.

We also work with a small number of service providers (for example, cloud hosting, error monitoring, and privacy-respecting analytics) who process limited information on our behalf and only under contract.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the products and their features.
• Personalize what you see, such as the communities and connections that may be a good fit, in line with the choices you have made.
• Keep people safe, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms.
• Communicate with you about your account, security, and meaningful updates.
• Understand how the products are used so we can make them better.
• Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis to process your information (for example, in the EEA, the UK, or under Nigeria’s data protection rules), we rely on performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in running and securing the products, and compliance with the law, as applicable.

How we share information

We share information only in these limited cases:

• With other people, when you choose to. What you post in a community, send in a conversation, or share with your circle is visible to the people you share it with.
• Within the Egen family, where you use more than one product and sharing is needed to provide the service you asked for. Some products publish their own supplemental notices, which apply in addition to this one.
• With service providers who process information on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us.
• For legal and safety reasons, where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect people from harm.
• In a corporate transaction, such as a merger or reorganization, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy or give you notice of any change.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it for behavioral advertising.

Your choices and rights

You can review and update much of your information directly in your account settings, and you can close your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access a copy of your information, to correct or delete it, to object to or limit certain uses, and to receive it in a portable format. You can exercise these rights through your settings or by writing to us at privacy@elitesgen.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising them, and we will respond within the time the law allows.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and for as long as we need it to provide the products, meet our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and keep people safe. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove the details that identify you. Some information may remain in backups for a limited time before it is overwritten.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and ongoing monitoring. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to hold ourselves to a high standard and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

International transfers

We operate across more than one country, so your information may be processed in a country other than the one you live in. Where we transfer information across borders, we use safeguards required by applicable law to keep it protected.

Children and young people

The Elitesgen app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Some features, including romantic connection, are available only to people who are 18 or older. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Other websites and services

The products may link to sites and services we do not operate, including the Elites Generation Foundation and our institutional surface. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the products evolve. When we make material changes, we will note them here and update the date above, and where the law requires it we will tell you directly.
